(wild)flowers for one deep breath

I remember when
you said my name as if I
was a flower, a flame

~
you wear motherhood
with reluctance, a dress of
thick thorny flowers

~
under shifting skies
green seas get away from me
poppies wave goodbye

~
your face full of hope
your arms full of sunflowers
my answer silenced

~
last minute bouquet
keeping up the white charade
petals wilt to grey

~

I didn't mean for everything to come out sad! Oh well! For more flower inspired haiku, go here.

Interesting scenario. One can bring so many different reasons to why the answer is silenced.

melancholy series, intriguing too.

I like these. Using flowers in an unusual way, to convey more. I especially like the first one, so touching.

So sad, but also engaging and thought-provoking.

Genuinely felt feelings, consciously aware or not, beautifully expressed.
Thanks for mentioning Rob Brezny's website in a previous post. Love his style, both writing and music...different.

I like the way your haiku draws images for the reader. I especially like the last two.

These are lovely in a tender way. I truly adore what you've expressed so beautifully here. Very nice!

My intention to copy paste a little seems to have been already done.

But :

I remember when
you said my name as if I
was a flower, a flame

I DO I DO I DO

but I hadn't thought of it quite like that

but I DO!!!

Oh well, they are really good. People can not be happy all the time.

Each of these could be a story.

Thanks for visiting and commenting. I especially loved the first - sweet melancholy. I haven't been able to get it out of my head yet.

I love it when that happens. :)

Maybe sad, but beautiful in its sorrow and longing. Much peace, JP

I really like the sense of poignancy in these -- tender, wistful, bittersweet and sadness too. They go right to the heart. Very nice.

These are all so good. I love your second one. I guess we all gravitate to the ones that sound the most like ourselves.
