I love how the metal cranes, sky and "forgotten bird" all come together in an upward direction -- all meeting among the clouds. Great photo and great haiku!
this reminds me of the book The Lost Language of cranes - I though it would have lots to do with birds but no it was the other type of cranes. Nice contrast.
There's something also uplifting about it. As if loss itself gets lost when we are present to the moment ... in this, to looking up with those metal cranes into that gorgeous sky ...

Reminds me of origami cranes. Poignant as well, rusted relics and empty lands.

Impressive comparison. Always surprises me to see avian influence in metal machinery/sculpture.
