I love finding natural treasures. I also like things that look like something else. These pieces of driftwood were found on the beach at Fiorenzuola di Focara.

they look incredibly like a piece we brought back from Hokitika in NZ!
That piece on the left looks a bit like a lambs head to me. There's something irresistible about the smoothed off corners and the silvery colour of driftwood and wondering how far it has travelled that makes it so difficult not to pick up off the beach.
I have a large piece of driftwood that I picked up in Llanbedrog waiting to be made into something and some smaller pieces that I want to make into a mobile.
